First woman to race full-time WSS
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jan. 14, 2010
Paola Cazzola will be the first female rider to enter a full World Supersport season, signing with the Kuja Racing team for 2010.

Cazzola has dominated the womens racing championship in her native Italy, winning titles in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2009, Cazzola competed against men in the R6 Metzler Cup and became the first woman to win a race with a victory at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome.

Paola Cazzola topped the podium at the Vallelunga round of Italy's R6 Metzler Cup.

"Yes, I will be the first woman to take part in a whole season, and I'm proud to be able to participate, Cazzola tells the World Superbike Championships official website. I'm the most victorious Italian female rider, I hope to be able to be a worthy representative for the female sex and open up the doors of this sport to more women.

Cazzola will race on a Honda CBR600RR alongside returning Kuja Racing rider Danilo Dellomo.
