EICMA 2009: Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa

Top-of-the-line tires use WSBK-developed technology
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 12, 2009
Pirelli introduced a new member in its Diablo family of tires, featuring technology developed from World Superbike racing at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

The Diablo Rosso Corsa tires were developed using feedback provided by WSBK teams and riders. As the series spec tire provider, Pirelli collected data from teams representing seven different manufacturers and thirty world-class racers.

Diablo Rosso Corsa tires replace the Diablo Corsa III on top of Pirelli's motorcycle tire line-up.
Designed for both the track and the road, the Diablo Rosso Corsa takes its place as Pirellis top-of-the-range motorcycle tire and replaces the Diablo Corsa III in Pirellis product lineup, Diablo Rosso Corsa tires will come in a broader range of sizes than the Diablo Corsa III.

Diablo Rosso Corsa tires use Pirellis patented Enhanced Patch Technology (EPT). Developed from WSBK performance, Pirelli says EPT optimizes the contact patch area at all lean angles. The rear tires use Pirellis III zones technology, with a new compound for the center zone and ample WSBK-developed shoulder zone compound.
