Chad Reed Forms Private AMA-SX Team

TwoTwo Motorsports to race on Honda CRF450
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 11, 2010
Chad Reed is starting his own privateer team to compete for the 2011 AMA Supercross Championship.

The former AMA Supercross World Champion announced he is creating his own team, to be called TwoTwo Motorsports. Reed will compete on a Honda CRF450 but will not draw support from the manufacturer. TwoTwo Motorsports will receive technical support from Pro Circuit.

I am over dealing with all the teams and the rules and I want to do it my way. I want to do it the Aussie way, Reed told Australian newspaper the Daily Telegraph. This will be my team 100 percent but a lot of my friends and teams I worked with back in Australia in my younger days will be involved. So will Australian products and companies.

Reed has previously raced on factory efforts for Suzuki, Yamaha and, most recently in the 2010 season, Kawasaki. Reed did ride a Honda in winning the opening round of the 2010 Australian supercross series.
