MotoGP rider Loris Capirossi will be racing on four wheels in the Suzuki Tempest Rally, Nov. 8.

The Rizla Suzuki rider will drive a Suzuki Swift Sport Cup car in the rally on a course that spans 50 miles in the forests and military training grounds surrounding Aldershot, UK. The Tempest Rally is the final round of the Suzuki Swift Sport Cup rally racing series.

Its great to have another member of the Suzuki family joining us for our last round, says Ian Philipson, champioship manager of the British Rally Championship. Weve had a great series so far and having Loris along for the finale will be great. Im sure hell do well and have some fun along the way.

Capirossi has rally racing experience, having competed in the Bologna Rallysprint race near his hometown of Castel San Pietro Terme, Italy. Capirossi will take part in a practice session in a Suzuki Swift and receive support from experienced co-driver Craig Thorley.

I am really looking forward to this as I have almost as much passion for cars as I do bikes, says Capirossi. It is a big honor to be invited by Suzuki to take part in this rally and I will certainly try to be competitive. I know it will be tough racing against guys who do this type of motorsport every weekend, but Im sure well have some fun.

Adding another element of fun to the race is the chance for Capirossi to race against his boss, Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team manager Paul Denning, who will also be a guest competitor in the Tempest Rally.
