Buell 1125RR in AMA American Superbike

New race bike to debut at Mid-Ohio

AMA Pro Racing has approved the new Buell 1125RR for competition in the American Superbike class.

The Buell 1125RR will make its AMA racing debut at the July 17-19 round at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Taylor Knapp, racing under his privateer Taylor Knapp Racing banner, will be the first to race the 1125RR in American Superbike. Knapp currently sits tenth in the American Superbike standings racing on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 with his best result a sixth-place finish at the Infineon

Taylor Knapp is alerady familiar with Buell, racing the 1125R in the Daytoan Sportbike class.
Raceway round. Knapp also races Daytona Sportbike for Latus Motors Buell, riding a Buell 1125R to 12th place in the standings with a pair of fourth-place finishes.

The Buell 1125RR is the second mid-season addition to be approved by AMA Pro Racing. The KTM 990 Super Duke debuted in the Daytona Sportbike class at the Laguna Seca round with Tri-Valley Moto rider Eric Gulbransen finishing 28th.
