Bayliss, Fabrizio to attend Gameland

SBK 08 featured in video game championship

World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio will be attending the Gameland video game championship at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, Italy on Dec. 6.

The two Xerox Ducati riders will be at Gameland to promote the new World Superbike video game which will be one of the six games comprising the first-ever World Console Championship.

An estimated 4,000 players will compete Dec. 6-8 in tournaments for SBK 08, Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, Call of Duty 4 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. Top players will be awarded cash prizes from a pool of 80,000 euros (US$102,514).

Bayliss and Fabrizio will meet the public at 12:30 on Dec. 6. Bayliss, who retired from racing after winning his third WSBK title, will also be honored with a special recognition for his stellar racing career.
