Actor Antonio Banderas’ Moto2 team has reportedly withdrawn from competition after losing its title sponsor.

According to Spanish website Motociclismo, menswear brand Jack & Jones has decided not to continue sponsoring the Moto2 team. As a result, the team decided to withdraw from competition.

Team Manager Dani Devahive tells Motociclismo the team could have continued to look for another sponsor before the 2011 season begins, but decided to give staff and riders Kenny Noyes and Gabor Talmacsi the opportunity to land with other teams.

Noyes took part in the Nov. 8 post-season Moto2 test at Spain’s Valencia circuit as the team made the switch from a Promoharris chassis to a Suter. The Spanish-born American and son of racing journalist Dennis Noyes had just re-signed with the team before the Valencia test, while Talmacsi reportedly joined the team in late November.
