AMA Pro Road Racing license and membership applications for the 2009 season are now available.

Applications for AMA Pro Superbike, National Pro Expert and National Junior level riders are now available at AMA Pro Racings website. Applications for crew, vendor and sponsor memberships are also available. AMA Pro Racing asks those planning on participating in the 2009 season to review the guidelines and submit application forms as soon as possible.

The AMA Pro Superbike license is available for riders who have held an AMA Pro Racing Expert license for one full year and have earned 100 Expert advancement points in the AMA Road Racing Championship series. AMA Pro Superbike licensed riders may compete in all classes except Supersport and the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup.

The National Pro Expert license is available for riders over 16 who have completed at least two full racing seasons including one as a full Expert rider and have earned at least 300 Expert points from recognized road racing organizations. National Pro Expert licensed riders may compete in Daytona Sportbike, MOTO-GT1 and MOTO-GT2 classes. They may also compete in the Supersport class if they meet the requirements for a Supersport license and have competed in no more than five AMA Pro Road Racing events.

The National Junior license is available for riders between 16 and 21 who have been granted Expert status through a recognized road racing organization. The National Junior license permits entry in the Supersport class. Riders who have finished in the top ten in previous AMA Pro Road Racing season standings are not eligible to race in the Supersport class.

Full application forms and guidelines are available at http://www.amaproracing.com/prorace/forms.asp. Forms must be received by AMA Pro Racing at least 30 days before the applicants first race.
