AMA membership drive rewards recruiters

"AMA Army" seeks new members
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Apr. 06, 2010
The American Motorcycling Association is offering incentives to encourage its members to recruit other motorcyclists to join the association.

The new AMA Member Getter program rewards members for enlisting others. Existing members will receive a free cap with the AMA logo when they recruit their first new member. After recruiting four new members, recruiters will be rewarded with a free one-year extension to their AMA membership.

Newly recruited members will also receive a free AMA hat if they sign up for the auto-renewal program.

These incentives are a token of our appreciation to those AMA members who are willing to step up and help grow the ranks of the Association, says Rob Dingman, AMA President and chief executive officer. Our membership needs to grow substantially if we are going to defeat the multi-pronged attacks on our riding rights. Each of us has to recruit more members for the AMA army. The bigger we are, the louder our voice will be, and the harder it will be for non-motorcyclists to take our rights away.

The AMA Member Getter program is open to all existing members. To receive credit for finding new members, the recruiters AMA number must be included on the sign-up form, available online at AmericanMotorcyclist.com.
