The Dainese subsidiary returned to the off-road and motocross segment earlier this year with the thermoplastic resin MT-X helmet, and the line has now expanded to include the new AX-8 and AX-8 Dual.

The AGV AX-8 was developed over the past two years with the help of AGV pro riders such as Travis Pastrana, Davi Millsaps and David Philippaerts. The shell construction is carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass. AGVs integrated ventilation system channels air through seven front and lateral intakes for ventilation and aerodynamic performance.

The AX-8 was developed with help from riders such as Travis Pastrana and David Philippaerts.

Available in three shell sizes, the AX-8 uses various cheek-pads and crown-pads to allow for sizes from XXS to XXXL.

The AX-8 Dual is designed for on- and off-road use in the trendy adventure touring segment. It is based on the AX-8 but features a non-scratch anti-fog polycarbonate shield, an additional air intake on top of the helmet and a chin guard vent. The visor has also been modified to reduce the sail-effect during high speeds.

The AX-8 Dual can be configured for supermotard/adventure touring with shield and visor, off-road with visor and no shield, or street riding with shield and no visor.

The AGV AV-8 Dual is available for $399.95 while the AV-8 is available at $349.95 for solid colors, $379.95 for colored graphics and $399.95 with special graphics.
