2011 KTM 50 SXS Announced

KTM North America is offering a limited edition youth motocross bike based on the 50 SX.

The 2011 KTM 50 SXS features a number of upgrades from KTM PowerParts. Upgrades include a new throttle assembly, clutch setting, Renthal diamond grips and bar pad, 38-T rear sprocket and special graphics. The SXS also comes equipped with billet machined chain adjuster blocks, chian guide, axle block and ignition cover.

KTM replaced the SX’s stock exhaust with an FMF SXF silencer. The SX’s WP monoshock has also been swapped for a Race Tech SXS shock with adjustable preload and rebound while up front, the 50 SXS Race Tech SXS fork internals with gold valve cartridge emulators and internal compression damping adjustability.

The 2011 KTM 50 SXS features a number of upgrades from the KTM PowerParts catalog to the base 50 SX.

“The 50 SXS is built to provide elite 50 racers across the country with a true race bike that is capable of showcasing their talent,” says John Hinz, KTM product line manager. “Although the production on the bikes is limited, the 50 SXS will be legal for AMA stock classes. Additionally, a SXS kit or individual components can be purchased through your authorized KTM dealer to take your current 50 SX to the SXS level.”
