2011 BMW K1600GT Gets Canadian Pricing

US MSRP still to be announced
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Dec. 20, 2010
BMW Motorrad Canada has released pricing for its 2011 product lineup including the new six-cylinder K1600GT and K1600GTL tourers.

The 2011 BMW K1600GT is priced at CN$24,100 while the more upscale K1600GTL gets a retail price of CN$27,225. At the moment, Canada is the first market to receive pricing for the two new K bikes.

Both versions are powered by a 1649cc inline six powerplant that claims 160hp at 7750rpm and 130 ft-lb. at 5250rpm. ABS brakes, heated grips, cruise control, Xenon headlight and 5.7-inch TFT color monitor are also standard on both versions. The K1600GTL adds a lower single-section seat with revised footrests and handlebar placement, wider windshield, audio system with Bluetooth, GPS and satellite radio, chrome features, matching frame and engine color and a top case.

Canadian pricing for the 2011 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL will give an idea of what the American MSRP will be.

American pricing is expected shortly, but with the Canadian dollar currently near par, BMW Canadas pricing provides a good idea on how much the K1600GT and K1600GTL will cost in the U.S. BMW Motorrad USA is currently offering a presale program for theK1600GT and K1600GTL until March 2011.
