The tryout consisted of a 15 minute session to become familiar with the track and the 125cc Metrakit Pre GP bikes, followed by two 20 minute tests with groups of seven riders at a time.

Jake Gagne was invited to return for the 2010 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Americans Cameron Gish and Ryan Matter were invited to the tryout but neither was chosen by the selection committee.
