Michael Dunlop added another tally to his familys Isle of Man TT legacy with a win in the second 2009 Relentless Supersport race on June 10.

Racing for Street Sweep Yamaha, Dunlop won by 31 seconds over Relentless Suzuki s Bruce Antsey.

With the win, the 21-year-old Dunlop joins his father Robert and uncle Joey on the list of Isle of Man TT winners. Robert Dunlop has five wins to his credit while Joey Dunlop holds the overall record with 26 victories.

I have always wanted a TT win, and for it to come so early in my career is amazing,

With Michael's Supersport win, the Dunlop family now has 32 wins on the Isle of Man.
says Michael Dunlop.

The race was delayed four hours due to rain and was held in wet conditions. Dunlop took the early lead on the first of four laps. The wet conditions caused problems for some racers including Dunlops brother William of CD Yamaha who pulled into the pits and retired on the second lap.

Dunlop completed the first lap with a ten second lead and stretched his advantage to 15 seconds after lap two. The lead doubled by the end of lap four as Dunlop took an easy victory.

Conor Cummins of McAdoo Kawasaki finished a second behind Antsey to fill the podium. Cummins finished ahead of HM Plant Honda, shutting out Honda from the top three positions for the first time in the 2009 Isle of Man TT.
