2008 Leather and Lace auction now open

Auction items include scholarship to PowerSports Institute

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museumís 2008 Leather and Lace Online Auction is now accepting bids.

Now in its fifth year, the auction features over 300 items including autographed memorabilia from Hall of Fame inductees such as five-time AMA Motocross and two-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeff Ward and On Any Sunday star Malcolm Smith.

Also up for auction is a scholarship to the PowerSports Institute. At an estimated value of $26,280, the PSI scholarship will provide the opportunity to learn technical skills for a future in the powersports industry.

Auction items include signed memorabilia from Hall of Fame members such as seven-time AMA Champ Jeff Ward.The program includes technical training on motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft and snowmobiles. Topics covered include engines, suspension systems and chassis, fuel systems and electrical systems.

Other available items include authentic gear such as riding boots and leather jackets and collectibles such as a genuine Easyriders dealership sign.

All proceeds from the Leather and Lace Online Auction will support the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum.

Bidding is open until Nov. 30 at www.motorcyclemuseum.cmarket.com/. The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum will also accept donations of additional auction items until Nov. 20.
