We keep saying that today’s modern sportbikes are becoming more and more like computers with wheels, with all of their sophisticated electronics. Well, if you’re Asia Road Racing competitor Galang Hendra, your motorcycle is a computer! Here he is, piloting a simulator for practice, but man, it sure appears awfully realistic. Lean angles correspond to the track he’s riding, as do throttle and shift inputs.

There are some days when we just can’t get out for a ride and while, yes, there’s nothing like actually riding a motorcycle, this looks like the next best thing. If you’re a gamer, a rider, and have some space in a spare room, adding a setup like this would make an awesome addition to anyone’s (wo)man cave. Check it out below.

Oh hell yeah, I want one.

Uh, please see Chris’ latest missive: http://www.motorcycle.com/features/head-shake.html

  • Andre Capitao Melo

    Doesn’t look like a simulator.

Yeah, it looks like he is reacting to the video and not the other way around.

But if this can be done than surely a simulator in this style is not too far in the future.

With right fast acting pneumatic actuators, you could even highside the rider =)

      Like a mechanical bull!
