Get Ready For The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show 2017

In just four short years the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show has grown leaps and bounds. Put on by the folks at Revival Cycles, an Austin, Texas-based moto shop, the creations it has pumped out are enough for a show in its own right. However, the Revival folks team up with some of the most innovative and creative talents in the motorcycle customizing business to display their talents each year at the Handbuilt Show. Scheduled for the same weekend as the MotoGP race at the neighboring Circuit of the Americas, the crowd for the show has been steadily climbing as word of mouth spreads year after year.

Last year the show attracted over 35,000 visitors, and anticipation for 2017 is even higher. While the show will feature the Revival 140 as its flagship build, the Handbuilt Show is growing to become an event much greater than just a bike show.

The Rebel Yell Handbuilt Show Kick-Start Party will take place at The South Congress Hotel in Austin’s kinetic South Congress district on Thursday, April 20 from 7pm-10pm, where a party for all attendees will be underway.

After that, the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show gets underway in earnest, starting on Friday, April 21, until Sunday, the 23rd. Hours are 6pm-12am Friday, 12pm-12am Saturday, and 12pm-6pm Sunday. Beyond just the motorcycles, be sure to visit the Wall of Death – happening every hour on the hour, it’s an attraction you’ve gotta see!

Handbuilt festivities don’t end once the show is over, oh no, it carries on to the Builder/Wrap party, taking place at Mohawk in Austin’s legendary Red River music district. On the outside stage Mohawk will be alive with music from headliner Night Drive, and
Austin’s own Boyfrndz, while inside the party will be toned by DJ Space Cadet.

Some things to note: Uber and Lyft aren’t allowed in Austin. Instead, it’s recommended to get around using the Ride Austin app. It’s like Uber, but, in the spirit of keeping Austin weird, it’s built specifically for Austin.

For those wanting to catch the action on track and at the show, Saturday and Sunday Rev’It will have a shuttle departing from the Handbuilt Show to COTA every 45 minutes, dropping passengers off in Lot A.

Food will be available at the show, but in an effort to keep up with the increasing demands – and cost – of the show, an entry fee will be charged for those wanting to attend. The fee covers the entire three days.
