Considered a sport-scooter in many regards, the 530cc Yamaha TMax scooter has been a popular mode of transport, especially in the European market. During its 15-year history the TMax has received almost a cult following, and for 2016 Yamaha is introducing a special version of the TMax: The TMax Lux Max.

Characterized by a new high gloss Nimbus Grey color, the Lux Max also gets a more luxurious seat and aluminum footplates. A special finish around the instruments combined with new Lux Max emblems on the bodywork help set the Lux Max apart as a more sophisticated version of the standard TMax.

In other news, the TMax Iron Max also gets an update for 2016 with the addition of gold wheels and a new gold TMax logo to compliment the gold forks and brake caps.

Pictures of both models, as well as the standard TMax, can be seen below.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
