Why not celebrate 30 years of GSX-Rs in the U.S. with this lovely, said-to-be all original Suzuki 750 – for sale in the San Francisco bay area. The seller says only 5,000 miles, and she appears to be sporting the original exhaust system and turn signals. Considering how irresponsible we were in 1987, and how expendable GSX-Rs were, this would appear to be a pretty rare bird.

The $6,750 asking price is a bit more than the $3,600 Kelly Blue Book says one of these in excellent condition is worth at retail, but that’s only a bit more than half of a new GSX-R750’s $12,399 price tag, so what the heck. Here’s the Craigslist ad.

One of these beauties that still retains the stock exhaust and airbox is as rare as honesty.

Compared to the like bikes of today these old machines look so antiquated. They looked state of the art to me back then. Owning an old machine is a labor of love. I still appreciate them but would not want one unless I had some emotional attachment to a certain model. Maybe a 1973 CB350.

Park this ‘old’ GSX-R750 next to a 2017 GSX-R1000 and I bet no one even looks at the 2017 bike. This and the SRAD GSX-Rs were the prettiest of the series.

You not wanting one lowers the resale price to me.
