What happens when you shoehorn a Ducati 1198 Panigale R engine into a Honda Grom? It burns to the ground due to a leaky fuel line, and you begin again with a new Panigale and Grom. At least that’s what Mario Kleff has reportedly done. According to TodoCircuito, the Thai engineer is quite the mad scientist when it comes to motorcycles. Another project bike of Kleff’s is a Grom powered by a turbocharged 1198 Duc. The video below is the first test ride of the Gromigale R before meltdown. By following this link to TodoCircuito, you’ll see more videos and photos of the bike itself. Enjoy!

Mod Dam just before go test run

    Like stuffing an SOHC 427 into a Fiesta…..or a 426 Hemi into a Fiat 500. Sheesh!

My friend owns Monster Miata. He stuffs V8s into old Miatas. I’m sending him this!

    • Old MOron

Interesting. Can monster miatas pass CA smog requirements?

      • Buzz

        Yes they can.

With such a short wheelbase and low mass you can use only 20 of those horses anyway, before it wheelies over.

    • Craig Hoffman

Yep. It was an interesting bike for sure.

What a waste of a brilliant motor. Is it April Fools day already?

Friend of mine built this KX500 powered KX80. It was silly. I was dumb enough to ride it and record this crappy little video.
