Smack dab in between two alphabet-class weather events lain a narrow window of opportunity to ride the latest and greatest creations from the Canadian minds at Bombardier Recreation Products. Guess who closed the door on bluebird Texan skies this week? Ike did it, or maybe you can blame Gustav for whittling our day’s excursion to a short-order dish. We weren’t even off the hotel’s property before every stitch of clothing I wore was drenched in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Despite the rain, it wasn’t a wasted trip, it only takes a mile in the rain to experience the technological wonder that BRP has created in association with its child and partner companies. BRP + VSS + H20 = A safe ride with a Texas-sized side dish of hell yeah!

The biggest news for you readers is the introduction of the Sequential Electronic 5-speed transmission [SE5] that is now an option on the late 2008 and 2009 BRP Spyders. Simply put, the package is amazing and smooth. But you’ll have to stay tuned for the upcoming full report to get all of the details!
