Splicing Tip: The way you splice your wires can make a huge difference in how much space they occupy. Here the butt splice (right) allows the new wire to follow the same path as the old one. The pigtail splice (left) keeps the wire from having to make a 180 degree turn. When these two splices are taped, they consume a minimum of space around the wiring harness.
