Harley admits to copying this design from captured German BMW motorcycles during the early part of World War II. It had an opposed-Twin “boxer” engine, was shaft drive, and the outrigger wheel could be engaged for slogging through rough terrain. This was one of 3 prototypes built, but it was never put into production.
