This was the first year for the EL model, with its Art Deco styling, two-tone paint and pinstriping. This is the father of Harley’s modern day cruiser and the inspiration for many of the retro-styled bikes you see today. The shape of the gas tank on the EL is quite similar to many of the tanks that Harley still builds.
