I have yamaha virago 750 and it is very slow. Does anyone knows what to do in order the bike will run faster?

I thought it was "remove gas cap, roll new bike under..." Oh well, same result.

Put it in the back of your pickup-truck, JATO-boost it, or trade it in on a faster bike.

Enough of the jokes!

The reason the Virago is slow is that it was designed that way. It would cost so much money to make it noticeably faster... and most of what you would need like new cams are unavailable. It would be much cheaper to just sell it and buy another motorcycle.

Why the Japanese made V-twins in the 80s that are dogs compared to the British 650 and 750 twins of the 60s is a total mystery. They like to say they were "tuned for torque" but none of the older 650s/750s were considered short on torque to begin with. I guess you would have to have the same mentality that came up with "Takeshi's Castle" to fathom why those Viragos, Shadows, etc were designed to be dogs. Not only do they have less HP they also have less torque. Tuned for torque? Go figure.
