![]() The 1/4 mile time/mph is around 15.24 / 85.8 on the V-Star. That's a full second slower than a 1970 Triumph Bonneville 650. The 650 V-Star maybe has 40 horsepower. So compared to a lot of other bikes it's going to feel like it has a governor.

![]() Yes, it's simply not designed with much in the way of guts. I personally don't like the V Star at all - it feels very labored for a small V-twin.
