I might have been able to get it home, but once it snapped I pulled over and stopped, so I didn't think fast enough. I did limp home once with a broken throttle cable though. It was on a triumph tbird, just pulled out the choke. Doesn't work as well on a bike without carbs.

Despite being so slow mine has a tendency to eat rear tires. To solve this problem, I've been eyeing a Superglide. Must be getting old.

You can push the bike while it's in neutral til it's going a few mph and then jump on in and pop it into first. Then you dismount at the next stop and do it again. Eventually you get home. Don't ask me how I know this, but traveling 20 miles across L.A. with a 650 Bonneville was no fun.

I have a hydraulic clutch on the Strat & on the Valk.
I got my cables for the EXUP valve from a mechanic at the local shop that put a pipe on his bike & took them off of it.

I'm now lookin' for spare cables and/or a GREAT deal on a pipe.
How are those Roadburner pipes ?

Just messin with ya Trip, Beulls are fun bikes....Course so are Superglides....The nice thing about a Superglide is you can ride it stock or build it into whatever you want, extremely versatile bikes.

Wow John French. It's not your fault but the name just gave me the chills. Some guy with the same name just slashed his girlfriend to death last month in my town.

I wonder if he can get EXUP cables in prison?
