Re: 'Pop' Art
Now that would raise a lot of questions from the EMT's!

WonÂ’t be any different for me. I'll still hate repub candidates, loathe democrat candidates, and vote for a third party that only 1% of the population votes for.

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
Well Longride I am glad you do not like my tone, I have never liked yours either, and yes I have been known to throw accusations around, like the time Harley was telling their costumers that as far as the cam bearing failures were concerned, they would be willing to fix it after it broke, or the time Honda told their GL1800 riders that they could bring their bikes in to have the broken frame fixed by an unknown welder with some kind of makeshift repair method, or the time Ducati, before they started using japanese regulator rectifires would take 6 months to a year to get the problems fixed for their riders, if at all, or the time Yamaha took 6 production years to redesign the most troublesome starter flaw the industry has seen on their Viragos. I could go on...

The point being, I take exception when the big guys take advantage of the little guys, based on their political or economic clout, or in your case, editorial clout.

So, what is the story with the GSXR frame?

What are you so concerned about releasing a worthy news thread, that you had to take it off the website?

Remember the first amendment?

For your information, I own 3 Suzukis right now and have own a few more in the past, I have owned Hondas, Ducatis and Yamahas also, so my view is not a partisan one.

Last but not least, my apologies to Gabe and the staff, since you were honest enough to take blame for the problem.

So what is the deal with the Gixxer!

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
What are you apologizing for? Wait untill you dissagree with anything he has to say, you will know!

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
And if that day comes, it will be just a disagreement - for me anyway - nothing more.

fastoldman 06-09-2006 03:32 PM

you and VWW can represent the 'out of the mainstream' vote
but don't you agree the general level of tension is rising?

PS only difference between you and I is I will still vote for those dem candidates I loathe. Not quite ready to vote for the 3rd party candidates no one votes for. As soon as the dems are in power, though, I'm in.

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
Careful, bud, if you aren't careful you're gonna get "called out", or, more likely, ignored. You only get called out when there is a PR battle that can be won. When you are kicking ass, you get ignored.

On the other hand, I missed the whole thing. What was the thread that got deleted?

Turn the other cheek.

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
It was about a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 whose frame broke right behind the steering neck, with catastrophic results, it send it's rider to the intensive care room in a local hospital in Georgia, it seems there are other reports of the same problem happening to other riders out there, and after posting the thread, Longride pulled it of the air, so to speak, with no good reason for it. What bothers me is that no one knows what the manufacturer is going to do about it, if it turns out to be that in fact the problem exists, and no one at MO is willing to explain why the thread is not longer on line.

So I get told that it is my way of throwing accusations around that is the real problem, and then I get IGNORED.

The report can be found on Action News 2

WSB. TV Atlanta

There are pictures and a video of the bike with interviews of the owner.

Re: Yamaha Crotch Air Bag
A link was posted concerning a damaged GXR frame. It was there for a bit and then MO decided they needed to pull it. Kind of like a UFO siting.
