Yeah hearing about this test is okay, but I want to know where the real test is! Where is the 600 test that was promised to us last Monday????

Gary McCoy's a pretty cool guy. His riding style's crazy-- it looks like he's sliding around in the mud with a dirtbike rather than on a track with a 200 bhp TZR-500! Wish that I could ride like that. Not only is he fast, but he's fun to watch, as opposed to the surgical precision that characterizes the riding style of some other riders. Yamaha's really wants to win; they've got a ton of talented riders on their side for 2001. But Honda's got tons of talent (I'm looking forward to watching Chris Walker). Hey, GP's may be getting interesting!

haga is awesome. he rides crazy on the superbikes, but if you read his interviews, he seems to be a very adaptable rider. In sport rider, he said that he did no tlike the 2-strokes as much, bu ti think he will get there and settle in. I wish him luck, esp. after all that BS in WSBK

That test is useless. Yamaha doesn't sell the FZS600SP (dutch version sold with carbon race can) in the US, so you guys don't even get the chance to test the best.
But the SV650 will do fine. |

Yamaha is in fact not pulling out of WSBK, they are going to have a team, as is Harley Davidson, and I want to say one other oddball team I can't think of at this moment.
Don't ask me details, look around at the racing sites and you will find something. Rob |

I think Benelli is fielding a team, and Bimota is pulling out for this season

That's because Bimota is bankrupt.

Someone is racing an R7, but it is not officially Yamaha backed.

I certainly hope you're not saying that an SV650 is better than an R6. That and you're out of your mind if you think we don't get good bikes in the 600 class here in the U.S. Who do you suppose is supporting the vast majority of these sales numbers we keep seeing on the rise? Not the Dutch.

You do know the AMA is not WSBK, right?
