If those pictures are accurate, this will be the first R1 I really dig. Since any modern sport bike is way more than I need, gotta fall back to pure asthetic appeal.



If Yamaha could make the FZ look this good, I'd be a happy man.

Let me start with my apology first. I apologize for being a bit thick and opinionated but the new 1KCC UJMs look the same to me. What can I say; they remind me of the UJMs of the ‘70s. Certainly not in styling but in their sameness.



They all look great and any of them would make a great addition to any garage or paddock area but other than manufacturer, the new liter class HondaKawaYamSuki's are all the same.



That's the problem with building track spec bikes for the road. They're great right off the showroom floor but no real style of their own.

Agree new R1 looks sweet. Honda CBR 1000 RR styling not as exciting. Kawasaki ZX-10R is somewhere in the middle of these two. I kind of like the silver GSXR1000 the best of the liter bikes though. Cool post love the internet. Cycle World, Motorcyclist rags eat your heart out. Good work longride

At least you can look at all the different cruisers, oh wait vtwin, chrome, 2 wheels and a handlebar, Yawn!

I find the styling different on all of the 1K bikes out there to be differentfrom each other, but then I have never figured out what a HD XFPSOPERX is suposed to be, and it looks the same (to my eye) as the HD XFPSOPERX wide glide, so no accounting for taste.

Yah, all those bikes look the same to me. Why can't some look like elephants and some like helicopters with wheels? That would be better.

As long as Motorcyclist has the cutting, incisive wit of Boehm and photographic skills of M. Cook, nobody can compete man. Nobody... The Honda photos are a def. Photoshop bodge-up, though, not the real thing.
