The Sp2 had front end chatter on Edwards and Okada's bikes this past weekend. That combined with the bumpy Oschersleben track created what Edwards called "tennis elbow" for him. He said it should be fine for Assen. Also, if you didn't catch the race, Castrol Honda has gone to a 2 into 1 exhaust system on the SP2's. This is supposed to help boost midrange. Looks like it did help as Colin didn't move backwards once he got his position, except for Zaus's marvelous riding. Michelin gave the Castrol Team a new rear which was the difference in the race. With Colin, Ben, and Troy all very close, the last 2 rounds are going to be good. Can't wait for Sunday. Go Tornado!

Yeah, he did. Just a different message.
If Ben doesn't take the championship, then I hope Colin gets another one this year. |

I am wondering about the rules for the bikes. Obviously, it is within the rules to change the exhaust from 2 into 2 and go to 2 into 1 (honda did it) What I am wondering, what can be changed and what can't? It really doesn't live within the spirit of the rules, Superbike (unlike GP) is based on production motorcycles and GP bikes are prototypes. The bike should have a stock (somewhat) appearance and be based on production parts.....Comments

I basically answered my own question by going to the FIM web page and looking for technical regulations regarding Superbike. It is a good page and all the answers are there.

Its gonna be Bayliss this year...Colin just doesn't have enough fire in him I reckon. Bayliss still has a healthy points lead and bucket loads of talent to go with it...
And what a race from Xaus..that lap record was amazing.. |

I hope Troy Bayliss still wins the SBK as he has been the most consitent rider all year.Anyway I think the SBK is getting a bit like the GP's someone gets in front and goes away with it.At the moment World Super Sport has to be the best ,closest and most exciting to watch no question.

Which is why it was a procession. Possibly the worse place to judge the championship on.
