Amazing that Tamada is almost a ful second ahead of the next rider (his teammate Ito), then 7/10 of a second separate the next 13 riders. This guy must be some rider, or has got the setup nailed already, and everybody will catch up in Saturday's qualifying session.

Either way, going to be and interesting race. Should see a new championship leader if Corser (or Edwards) can manage more points than Bayliss (who is currently down in 15th place).

I have to wonder too if he just knows THAT course so well, or is he going to be equally skilled on the other tracks.
