The Ducati sounds like a perfect fit for what I'm looking for. That website was very helpful, Thank you!

So......do you REALLY think you are ready for a bike that will do 140 MPH and pull a wheelie without even trying ??? I doubt it. How long have you been riding.....time and mileage ?? It is likely that something in your "wants" is going to have to be compromised. The Ninja 500 suggestion is good.

I'm aware that 600cc bikes have a lot of power, and I've both seen and heard of people accidently doing power wheelies. More power just means more responsibility and I have to be more careful just like anyone else.
I want a true sport bike, with that sexy engine sound, a ninja 500 is pretty comparable to my 250. I've been riding one full year on motorcycles (2k-3k miles) and have five years experience on dirtbikes. There are plenty of small women who ride 600cc or bigger. |

Handles just fine. She's not a light person. She's toured all over the west US on it and thinks the power is more than adequate. Maybe you could test ride a used one somewhere.

"Real" sport bikes, as someone else pointed out, will mostly be too tall for you and a drastic lowering might screw up the handling. BUT you WILL have what you want so........Good Luck.
