We were down there about a month ago. We rode mid-week, and we didn't see any cops any day (Wed-Fri). That area is one hellacious-fine motorcycle haven!

I like holding down the the clean-up spot. No matter how fast the guys are in front of you they will always end up waiting at the other end. One of my cop buddy's and I rode last Tuesday up GA Hwy 9 to US 129 then took GA 180 to Richard B Russell Senic hwy (Ga 347) and back to 180 to GA 60 then back to Hwy 9 for a huge 4 hr loop. It was a little leafy but a great day. The cop buddy rides a Guzzi Cali and with all that cop ewok training he can tip that booger into turn better than most guys I know on 600s. Those Guzzi's have a great 2nd gear roll-on power. My 23yo K bike was workin' harder than it's worked in a long time to keep up. Glad Deal's Gap was cop free, but when you bring your own (and insured) cops for the ride you can explain away a lot of shenanigans.
