Hello Hello,
I'm in a marketing class and need to do a research project so why not do it on what I love? Motorcycles and Engines! If you could help me answer what is most important for you when selecting a bike; hp, torque, or displacement by answering this 1 MINUTE survey i would really appreciate it! What matters most to motorcycle owners? Displacement, Horsepower, or Torque Thanks for helping me out! I promise it's quick and painless |

Displacement, torque and horsepower are so intertwined that picking one over the other is like deciding which ingredient in chocolate ice cream you like best. It doesn't matter; you like the chocolate ice cream, not the ingredients that it's made of.

Horsepower and torque are two dfferent things. Horsepower is calculated from toques at a praticular RPM.
Displacement is related only as a means to that end, although a case could be made that torque numbers can de derived by using displacement and BMEP.

Skill matters first. HP, Torque and displacement mean nothing if you can't ride the damn thing in the first place.

Hi Everyone,
So...I'm wondering: I answered the little survey, including the non-related questions, which prompts me to ask: why would someone who "loves" "motorcycles and engines" even have to ask those questions? Don't all of you know the relationship between HP, torque and displacement? I bet you do, since I do....Hmmm. Shakespeare applies yet again: "Hot ice and wond'rous strange snow..." ! I'm not trying to start any sort of confrontation, I'm honestly curious.

Just start a confrontation next time. It's easier!

Not bad, but unless you say that every malady that ever hit the world was Bush's fault, nobody will ever believe a word you say!
