I am a new rider and a plus size woman, I am looking for suggestions for comfortable boots (womens size 10), I will be riding to places that require a lot of walking when we get there. I live in Chicago and need some recommendations for what type of jacket and pants, gloves tp buy. I need something to wear when the weather is 70-95 degrees and then again when it gets cooler 40-50 degrees.

Jacket: get a leather jacket with CE-rated armor for 40-75 degrees. For 75+ weather, get a mesh jacket, also with CE-rated armor. If you want comfortable boots that you can also walk in, get light riding boots that still have ankle protection. You could try the Vega Women's Merge Boots. They're only $70 at motorcycle-superstore.

Hi Maggiea,
Welcome! I thought I'd throw in my two cents, since we have the same foot size. I got a pair of Bass waterproof boots that have a removable felt liner, so I can use them for winter riding, and to stay dry in warmer rainy days---which abound in western Washington. You might check them out. I got mine at an outlet store for half off last Christmas, and they only cost me around $55.00 or so. I hope this helps a bit, or at least gives you another option.
