Are there actual bearings in the wheels, or will you find out when they both suddenly glow white-hot and the whole thing self-immolates?
It's really neat and all, I just have my concerns about longevity for your rotating bits.

Let's see.
The tires look really sketchy. And, they'll prbably last 50 miles on pavement, maybe. 'Towbar.' Even sketchier. You put half a LongRide-sized ration of beer in that box, it'll fold like a noodle. Tow vehicle. If you put any weight at all in that thing, it'll shove the ass-end of the scooter all over the place. Otherwise, it looks good!

Alright people! Below are a couple info on my ScootBoot that I picked on the website. You CAN carry A LOT of beers!
The guy who makes them seems to know what he's doing. He's got this fun video, too: YouTube - Scoot Boot: The Ultimate Light-weight Scooter Trailer Total empty weight: 30 lbs Trunk dimensions: 38"lx19"wx14"h Trunk capacity: 4 cubic feet Tires: 13” pneumatic Wheel system: Integrated ball bearing hub. Rated for 330lb. Lighting: Ultrabright reflectors. Optional LED lighting system (turn, tail and brake). Hitch/Attachment: Unique universal attachment will work on any scooter with a rear metal luggage rack. Frame: Steel. Much more resistant to wear and tear than aluminum which will bend and crack over time. Trunk: Durable polyethylene. Lockable and will keep contents dry. |
