Actually you are wrong. It wasn't all guys recommending that she should wait until she is no longer pregnant. Read the thread. I believe your anti-male streak is showing.

But, buy all means; learn to ride while you are pregnant. I'm sure falling, stumbling, and lifting a bike after it falls is perfectly healthy while pregnant. Also, keep drinking and smoke a lot. Maybe learn karate and take some good shots to the abdomen. Make your own choices.

"liberal way" *snort* Idiot.

Sometimes, guys, it's necessary to provide an antidote to paternalistic overprotection. So I gave her MY advice. Let me spell it out for you: If YOU don't want to ride while pregnant (or while your wife is pregnant), then don't do it. If YOU don't want to ride while you have a small child, then don't do it. But those are your choices. Our friend here has the right to weigh her own risks and make her own choices, and that's exactly what she should do.

If you want to smoke while being pregnant, that is your choice.
Drink while being pregnant? Why not?
Horseback riding? Go ahead.
Downhill skiing? Have at it.
Mixed Martial Arts? Get it on!

There is absolutely no connection between strenuous, jarring activities and health related pregnancy issues.

Also, the Earth is only 1200 years old, dinosaurs never existed, and Aliens are actually Mormons looking for Utah.

While you are learning to ride a motorcycle, you might as well take it to the next level and start motocross racing. The bumps, jarring landing, and bone crushing crashes will only strengthen the pregnancy.

It's all a matter of choice!

Speaking of which, now is the perfect time to start a Crystal Meth addiction.

Yep, it's the woman's choice. Sure there are risks. There's risks in running, bicycling, walking, cooking, sleeping, and everything else we do. That doesn't mean that even pregnant women give up everything that has a risk. It means that they weigh the risks, with medical advice if needed, and then choose what to do. If you have a problem with that, then explain to me, guys, why you get to make your choices based on your assessment of the risk, and a woman does not. (And "being pregnant" is not a valid reason; it just changes the assessment of risk.)

An 'idiot' by definition is someone that would put another innocent person in danger for their own personal pleasure. The other definition of an 'idiot' is for someone to tell them do go ahead and do it without a second thought. My assesment of a risk is how you would feel if something happened to the baby because of a motorcycle incident, which is quite different from the idiotic and moronic analogy of comparing it to cooking and sleeping. The second thing is that it isn't 'her' baby. It would be 'mine' too if I was the father, which gives me just as much right so assess a risk as she does, and just as much right to allow and disallow certain activities. Since I ride and she doesn't, I'd say that makes me 100% more qualified to assess the risk of motorcycling than her. Any idiot that would tell her to ride is a walking definition of the word.

Make your own choices. Yes, you're pregnant, but that doesn't mean you stop living. Same thing after your child is born. Make your own choices, and if you want to go riding, then go.
Wow, ok... wow.

Sorry to say this because usually i wouldn't but usually you have good advice...

I think that's the stupidest thing I've ever. Wonderfully horrible advice.
