Default Maybe wrong forum

Hi, I am new and didn’t really see forums for BSA, and I figured Triumphs are the closest.

My question is
I just bought a '70 BSA Victor 441 and need a spark plug. does anybody know if i can use a common spark plug, from NAPA or do i need to get one specifically from a British Bike Shop.
I need some other things but will see if this gets moved to the right place

Thanks
and mods sorry if its in the wrong forum.

Well, there is no BSA forum maybe becuase they haven't made a bike in 36 years.

Buy what you need right at J.C. Whitney.

BSA Victor Motorcycle Sparkplugs, Coil & Ignition and Other Motorcycle Parts at JC Whitney

Read that the spark plug is designed to motors that have excessive use of oil. I'm sure that description fits your BSA perfectly.

As long as it's the correct part number and heat range any brand plug should do. A NAPA should have a cross reference showing what to use, however they may not carry it if it's not more common. Any bike shop should have them, ND's are good IMO, some people complain about NGK's having soft electrodes.

Thanks guys, I know BSA hasn’t made a bike in a long time but I figured that some of the Triumph guys made be able to help me out.

Any way thanks for the input

Longride, thanks for the link. I didn’t even think that JC Whitney had motorcycle parts.

They have decent stuff at good prices for older bikes. Glad to help.

This is twice now that you've been reasonable and even helpful. Did you get taken over by the Cylons or something?
