This bike is butt-ugly. Don't care if it's lighter and more powerful. It looks even worse than a jap bike.

Default Your Opinion.

You obviously would have bought it no matter what, so who cares?

Default Then serious sport bikes are fashion items too?

Whatever. Better suspension is better suspension.

Default No, look:

Triumph's dry weight: 419 pounds

5.5 galons of gas: 33 pounds

Subtotal: 452 pounds

Actual weight on Motorcyclist magazine scales:

486 pounds

Less Triumph claimed dry weight and weight of 5.5 gallons of gas: 452 pounds

Variance: 34 pounds

So battery fluid, fork oil, engine oil and shock gas weighs 34 pounds? Is that what you're saying? That shouldn't be more than 6 or 7 pounds! What do they use for engine oil, mercury? Liquid sodium? Deuturium?

I'd have to agree. The previous 955i with its oval headlights and mirrors and curvy bodywork was a very good looking bike - this one is very boring and the design looks a bit disjointed. It does look like they fixed the annoying hard edge on the previous model's tank which bit into the inside of one's thighs while riding it. (no filthy jokes please )

My roommate had a previous one until the engine blew up and he had to sue Triumph to get them to fix it (which they still have yet to do correctly). Let me just say that with Triumph, caveat emptor. (Let the buyer beware) Their US division is run by folks who wouldn't know customer service if it bit them on their collective ass.

Yup, gotta agree with these guys. The 955 is a sporty bike... they don't race it so lets have a few extra pounds (that none of us reasonable yet still rather average riders) will notice (if yo do notice, you'll be buying a GSXR1000 anyways so go away!)... we will, however, notice the looks. Sexy tube frame, funky SSSwingarm, luverly looks...

To quote the old hot rodders.. if it don't go, chrome it. The 955 goes as well as we need it to but to set it apart from the GSXR1ZBR's, make 'er look nice!!!!

Just my useless two cents... don't have the budget for another sportybike anyways

Default Re: Pity. Its superb in the UK

Triumph Uk's customer service is the best. I've heard a few bad things in the US about TOA. Typical American attitude to service I suppose (from what I've seen of it).
