'bout time someone came up with an idea how to get some decent perormance out of that slug. I'd be embarrassed to ride a bike with only 119 rear wheel ponies...
they don't show much detail on the left hand side where the intake is, I'm curious how they get from under the bike to the air cleaner. |

Sarnali,
You ride a Rocket yet? The dealer in Norfolk "forced" me to, then gave me a t-shirt! He was telling me some guy in the area has turned one into a tourer, with full windshield and bags and all. Something else: The same dealership is building Bonneville America's with girder forks and bobbed fenders. Not my thing, but they look kinda cool.

Just remember to notify your insurance agent. Most turbo kits only add 25% to your insurance premiums.

I rode one a couple of months ago up and down the street. Not really long enough to get a good feel for it but I was pretty impressed by the balance and power. Once you get rolling it feels like it loses 100 lbs. I thought it was a pretty nice bike.
I've got my heart set on a T100, but the 1200r Roadster is starting to look like a real fun bike as well. When I'm in a position to buy I'd like to ride the Sporty, XB12r, Thruxton and T100 and basicaly toss a coin I guess. |

I think you need that new red Daytona I sat on on Friday in Issaquah. The only Speed Triple they had was sold already. Cool bike. Can't wait till MO tests it.

Kind of like Frankenstein on steroids; he's stronger, but still damn big and ugly.
However, that is only my humble opinion. For those of you that find the Rocket attractive, buy it so Triumph can use the funds to make more S3s and Daytonas. |
