Yes! A new Thunderbird please! Just add fuel injection and release it here in the US - I'll buy one!

O lord, here we go again.

What, every bike has to have 150hp/liter to be acceptable?

Wow. Good to hear. Love the looks of the new Speed Triple. Big Daytona looks nice too. I am honestly pleasantly surprised by the Rocket. I was thinking the cruiser market was saturated with choices but that shows you how much I know....Glad to see Triumph get a chunk of that market....Competition is good...Triumph is building bikes for the street first which is a great strategy..

I've ridden many enjoyable miles on bikes that were less powerful than similar models offered by competing brands. I tend to use the smiles/mile measure as opposed to horsepower/cc when I consider motorcycle ownership. But, I have a feeling you've been there too with a name like Tigercub.

Looks like a simple comparison to me, i didn't see it stated that just because it may be underpowered for it's displacement that it automatically "sucks" - it simply is an observation that many bikes with same displacement have more power.

Has anybody else sat on a '05 Speed Triple? I was surprised to feel how much weight was on my wrists until I realized that the pegs were so far back I couldn't use my legs to hold myself up at all! At least if it had clip-ons I could rest my stomach on the tank! My SV1000N is much more comfortable.

Well, I've been riding Triumph on and off since '68, and am now on an '01 Sprint ST. Gotta say, this bike is soooo sweet! I'm gonna beg some track training from a mid-pack buddy of mine, and will then approach the bike with a lot more respect. Guys, go ride a new ST or the S3; these mothers are awsome! Triumph is the real deal, and priced very well.

Just rode a new Speed Triple on Sat. and I must say It is one fine ride. The slickest gearbox ever. Good power delivery and decent brakes. Overall a very impressive package.

What about the 2005 Triumph Tiger ?? has anyone out there ridden one, or does anyone own one. I am thinking about buying the BMW GS 1200 but it may be a little too dirt bike looking? I have seen the Tiger on-line but not up close. I'd appreciate folks thoughts.
