My guess is that H-D renters weren't redlining 'em but probably lugging the hell out of them. Evos do not like bumping along below 2000 rpm. The twin cam has a much more stout lower end.

BTW - This is the second time the T-bird has been killed. It was discontinued after 1998, only to resurface in late 1999.

I liked the T-bird sport, When I went Triumph-looking they had a Trophy and a T-bird sport

I couldn't decide which to get so I figured I'd see which was the most fun. When I went back to buy the T-bird was gone, If it had have been there I would probably have bought it.

Instead I got a beemer, didn't like it, got another, didn't like it either so I wound up with the Trophy, which I suppose given the weather up here was probably the best choice of all.

But I did like the T-bird

Isn't that why we ride Harleys? So we can make 'em put 'em in top gear as soon as possible and then open the throttle through wide open drag pipes in school zones?
