Well, I guess Triumph proved that it can triumph......ha......
Alex Trebec: "and now it's time for final Jeapardy. Your clue is-----colors that end in 'urple'." Minne Driver: "what is light urple?" ------------------- Alex Trebec: "This movie showed us that cannonballs CAN run. Burt, you might want to guess this one." Sean Connery: "That would be Jaws." Alex: "No that is incorrect. And please phrase your answer in the form of a question." Burt Reynolds: "What is Jaws." |

What a neat story, I'm glad to see Triumph back up and running, The Speed Triple has got to be one of the coolest bikes out today, I've got a serious jones for a black one, unfortunatly I'm a little short of the where-with-all, thats why I'm announcing the "Buy Steve a Triumph for his birthday " fund drive, send your check or M.O. to Steven Taylor 10613, 230th ave. ct. East, Buckley, Wa. 98321 thanks,

One of the worst fires in the UK? They shoulda had better fire protection. No automatic sprinklers I bet.

How did the fire start?
Probably some disgruntled worker po'ed by the evil capitalists at Triumph, LTD who won't provide any more benefits than free child care, 8 weeks vacation, 6 weeks sick leave, 12 weeks family leave, 24 annual holidays and two health spa retreats per annum.

Sprinklers aren't nearly as common in the UK. I'd bet this fire involved some flammable liquids, maybe solvents, hydraulic oil, or a fueling station. Or rack storage of parts in open top plastic containers. Even if they had sprinklers, if they're not powerful enough, they can be overwhelmed by these hazards.
Anybody out there know how this fire started, and how it spread? |

I just sold my 1997 Triumph T595 Daytona. The bike was great! I sold it to a friend and he loves the bike.
I am gratified to see Triumph rebuilding after the terrible fire. I would buy another Triumph, as I had great luck with the first one. |
