Hey bikers!
I could use some help... My complete handlebar was stolen from my bike (V-Strom DL 1000). Now I'm searching for new one and I can't find any. All I'm getting are just separate parts of it but not a complete handlebar. Anyone knows where could I buy one (locations in Europe or online order) and approx., how much would it cost? Thanks, and have a nice day! Adam |

Did they steal all the switches and controls as well as the bar itself?
You won't be able to buy a new complete handlebar; you'll have to put it together from parts. If you don't mind used parts, call some "breakers" or junkyards to see if they'll tear off a complete setup for you. I don't know if Europe has junkyards, but that's how we'd do it here. Who steals a friggin handlebar anyway? That's just weird.

Yeah it was a whole handlebar, including switches and controls. Cables were cuted off... I mean come on, at least "the one" could remove the cables properly.
I'm trying to find a local dealer for Suzuki motors. Idea of a junkyard is nice but I don't know any around here. Stealing one from another biker? I'd go straight to hell for that. Junkyard than... As soon as I find one around. |

![]() Adam Kotnik = akotnik It's an easy to remember username from my frist and last name... Tho I'm still "young" it's best to keep things simple. Aint that right pushrod? :P p.s.: The bill from the official Suzuki service was 1492€ or 2.107$ for complete handlebar. I realy have to find some used parts somewhere. I hope that the junkyard guy will respond. Last edited by akotnik : 03-24-2011 at 12:44 PM. |
