First motorcycle buying help!!!

Hi im interested in purchasing a motorcycle from a gay couples. They seem pretty rich and nice. They said that they havnt start their motorcycle cycle in a while. I believe this because in their title, they got the motorcycle in 2007, it has 9333 miles on it, right now it only has 9600 in it.

I went to their place today, and the motorcycle couldnt start. It would start but if i release the clutch, after 5 seconds the engine stops.
They are telling me that its because the gas or something in the engine. I need to ride it everyday to clean out the system. What should i do?

Is the engine fine? i am totally new to motorcycle and this will be my first one.
They say that if i come back tomorrow, they will clean out the system, and ride it around for me. Should i be worry?

its a suzuki katana 600 2004.


The owners say that everything should be fine tomorrow after run it a while to clean the carbs. If tomorrow everything is running fine, should i be worry?
what if they cant keep the engine running tomorrow?

also im thinking about getting the motorcycle for check up after i buy it.
should i just bring it to a dealer?
