Default Demand

What you say with regard to production costs may have some truth....However, the price you pay for a motorcycle isn't determined by what comsumers WANT to pay, it is determined by what they WILL pay. When the price of something is set artificially low, there will soon be none of that thing left-----a situation I'm sure you ran into first hand the last time you tried to buy something for nothing.

I'd say the only thing "ripped" by your purchase are the ligaments in your shoulders

My dealer has a copy sent to him by Suzuki. He gave me a copy when I ordered my V-Strom.

MCN said it came with a 18" front wheel. Maybe the Brits get an 18" and we get a 19"?

Default Re: Streetfighters

Take a regular race clone and strip all the plastic off. Re-route the wiring and plumbing to clean up the lines. Ditch the clipons and switch out the top tree to accept MX type bars. Streetfighters are city bikes. The upright position is great in the city...all but worthless at highspeed. Great handling and acceleration is more important that top end stability and speed. If you've seen TombRaider the bike she rides is a streetfighter made from a YAMAHA TDM850. Obviously a lot of work was done to it. Streetfighter are basicly modern day choppers only instead of slow highway cruisers they are fast, agile canyon carvers.

Oct. Cycle World said it has an 18" front. It sure would handle better with an 18" or 17" on the front.

According to Cagiva USA the GrandCanyon is being sold in the US. I though that this was the same bike as the Navigator. you may want to investigate it

The Gran Canyon comes with a Ducati 900 air cooled motor, the Navigator comes with Suzukis TL motor. I took the Gran Canyon for a test ride but ended up buying the Tiger. The Gran Canyon felt a little under powered imho.

I went to the TL1000s owners group website and posted a message that said I was thinking of buying a Vstrom and was the TL motor reliable? Here's the responce I got, "Reliable? that's a good one, know any other good jokes?"
