I never understood how they were able to sell those butt-ugly things when the better-looking, same-engined Bandit 600 was available.

I'd like to see them put the 750's motor into a Bandit 750. That would strike a nice balance between the wheezy-down-low 600 and the pavement-ripping 1200. I miss 750's.

You could use your $100 worth of gas to light it on fire.

Methinks only one Katana - the first one - had interesting styling. The rest were pretty ordinary.

Wonder why the pretty ok looking RF900 was never refered to as a Katana considering the "oh so 5 yrs ago" tech of all Katana's since the first gen or two??

Did you see the new UK/ Euro only 1200 Bandit.? I don't know why they kept the Katana around and got rid of the Bandito Grande` for the US. The second generation Bandits (like mine f'rinstance) were durn good bikes, looked better than these plastic eggs and ran better too. Plus you could build them stronger than a small block Chev. The perfect do it all motorcycle. Of course we don't get them or the GSX1400's. We get "booleevards"......

Just what we need, another V twin cruiser....

You would think that Suzuki would just keep their old GSX-Rs around like Yamaha with the R6S and YZF-600R and just label them as Katanas. It'd make parts availability for their sport bikes and give a 'real' alternative sportbike and not something more along the lines of a slow sport tourer/standard.

Similar to Kawasaki's zzr600 idea.. Yamaha R6S, Honda F4i, etc.

And an updated GS500 would be nice too. Unless they make changes with it I'm sure it'll disappear in the next few years. Shed some pounds and a better motor at least.

The Hawk and Ascot sold like two legged chairs. Don't think Honda's in a hurry to do an encore.
