Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't legendary. It was a restyled GS1100, which was just another UJM. Compare that to the Honda CBX. Now THERE is a legend that needs to be reborn.

And if you believe this, you'll believe the picture in this week's Star with a caption that reads "Brad Pitt pregnant with martian's baby....Jennifer said to behind alien plot to abduct child"

Ok Guys
I don't know for sure but check out the cover page of Moto Journal, a serious french mag. There is a picture of a new suzuki 6 in line... called stratosphere... cool name... www.motojournal.fr The pic is small but it definitely looks like the "old" Katana... I like it... a lot... Your comments please... Kerb |

That's the same pic/bike that MCN has on its cover. Oh, and to answer the debate, according to this picture, it's an inline-6.
Don't know if they got that right, though. |

There must be some reason the Katana is referred to as "Can o' tuna."

I believe the market is prime for a naked, highly styled and muscle bound bike. 180 HP? Sure no problem but no six cyclinder. If you saw the MCN picture of the naked GSXR 600. Whats to say about a naked sit up Busa powered machine. Even the Moto GP bike is a 990cc V4 that just might make it into production bikes but I can't see Suzuki building an engine like an inline 6.

It's interesting that Triumph came out with the Rocket III in 2005 and is getting ready to begin their second year of production of this bike, and MO has not tested one or even done a riding impression.
