I have an 03 Neked version and I am not sure of what you idea of under powered is, but the SV is not. I would like to see Suzuki get rid of the stock progressive springs, but other than that it is a great bike for the money. It has a great usable power curve and it capable of 140-150 mph top speed. Since I don't ride that fast it is fine for me and any sane person.
